Recommendations for the Client
1. Why wallpapering? From old times people have used different forms to decorate their homes, from simple drawings in the walls, to pictures and murals that are beautiful to our eyes. To wallpaper a room there are a lot of objectives:
to decorate the environment so that it makes us comfortable. to remodel the appearance of flawed walls in old houses. a house with walls with wallpaper makes it more valuable for the selling of the house.2. Types of wallpaper. Wallpaper is an age-old term given to materials that are more typically included in the category of wallcoverings. Very few modern "wallpapers" are actually made of paper anymore. Today's wallpapers are made of: vinyl, fabric, grasscloth, foil, and embossed materials.
3. Wallpaper Categories. Most patterned wallpapers fall into one of two categories: straight match, and drop match. The quantity of rolls depends on the design
4. Wallpaper Durability. The durability depends on:
a. Good preparation for the wall using an excellent wallpaper primer and sometimes covering the walls with Liner Paper.
b. Appropriate paper for each area (e.g. using washable wallpaper in the bathroom, sink, or pathways)
5. Borders. Many wallpaper designs have complementary borders or you can create your own border by cutting narrow strips from full-size wallpaper pieces. Wallpaper borders add an elegant accent to either painted or wallpapered walls. Hang a border as a crown molding around a ceiling or as a frame around windows, door, or fireplaces.
